Directed by John A. Mancini, To Be, is a new and courageous short film adaptation of the Shakespeare classic, Hamlet. Centered around a single scene, the film puts its focus on the passion and ultimately, the tragedy, of Hamlet and Ophelia’s love affair.

The film will boldly takes place in both the past and the present day. Using a stunning Buddhist temple by a lake to represent the classical Shakespearean period and a mirrored “future room” for the present, Mancini hopes to stir up excitement for the playwright's work with both die-hard Shakespeare fans, as well as a younger generation.
